Apple Music’s Beats 1 is now coming live from hosts’ homes

As the coronavirus continues to send office workers home, it’s ‘business as usual’ for internet radio station Beats 1, with hosts following suit.

Hosts such as Zane Lowe will continue to broadcast daily shows from home, while conducting interviews via FaceTime with guests such as Elton John, Miley Cyrus and Lil Nas X.

“To prioritize the health and safety of its staff and guests, beginning today, Apple Music hosts will record their shows with field equipment from their homes, working virtually via FaceTime on iPhone. Tune in for an array of fresh and genre-spanning shows throughout the week as Beats 1 remains committed to continuing to deliver its eclectic programming to passionate music fans across the globe.”


Exclusive shows also recorded on iPhone will comes from the likes of The Weeknd, Queens of the Stone Age, DJ Khaled and Vampire Weekend.
