Apple’s first Carpool Karaoke stars Will Smith and original host James Corden

The first episode of Apple’s Carpool Karaoke series sees James Corden and Will Smith rap with a full marching band and take the carpool sky-high.

Following the massive success of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke segments in his Late Late Show becoming a viral hit, Apple snapped up the rights for their own entire series. With full length 30-minute episodes the series has a lot more ambition and will feature more time with the celebs singing, talking, and having fun.

Apple have released a short trailer for their upcoming first episode which features original host James Corden and rapper-cum-acting star Will Smith. The episode will see the pair cruise through the streets of LA singing along to tunes joined at one point by a massive marching band and eventually promoting themselves to a helicopter where they belt out a version of “I Believe I Can Fly”.

Whilst Corden will feature in the first episode, and perhaps more, he will not take his place as host for the series which instead sees celebrity pairings between Metallica, Shaquille O’Neal, John Legend, Ariana Grande, Maisie Williams, John Cena and more.

The first episode debuts tomorrow on the 8th of August. The series will feature 16 episodes in total released on a weekly basis exclusively on Apple Music.
