Deezer have partnered with telecommunications company Huawei in a worldwide music streaming deal.
The partnership means that the music streaming service will be preloaded on all smartphones in Huawei’s Honor range.This gives customers instant access to Deezer’s 40 million strong catalogue of tracks.
Deezer’s chief international officer, Gerrit Schumann said: “Honor customers will get the best of both worlds – smart technology alongside the best in music and radio. With just one touch, listeners can access the largest music catalogue in the world, as well as over 40,000 podcasts, personalised mixes and audiobooks.”
Reportedly Huawei’s global network is used by a third of the world’s population. They say that their partnership with Deezer will give their users “more flexibility, freedom and options to discover new music with personally curate recommendations from 50 Deezer editors from around the world.”
Huawei Consumer Group’s chief strategy officer and VP of Honor, Liu Dan said: “Honor customers are always looking to find new ways to be entertained on their mobile devices. And Deezer is at the forefront of innovation and entertainment. We are delighted to partner with Deezer as its extensive selection and variety of music and audio services will no doubt, surprise and delight our customers.”
The company says that the app will be made available on all new Honor phones in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, North Africa, Russia and Southeast Asia.
