Deezer want to rope in karaoke lovers as they’re now the first service with real-time lyrics on all platforms without a music subscription.

Deezer have added real-time lyrics to listeners tuning in on desktop. So now, even if you don’t pay for Deezer Premium you can follow the lyrics as they play on mobile and desktops – perfect for a karaoke evening or just singing along to your faves.

They’re the first music streaming service to offer real-time lyrics to free users across all platforms. It comes at a great time as they claim that they have seen a 33% increase in their users following live lyrics as they listen to music.

Deezer’s Vice President of product, Benoit Terpereau said: “It’s been great to see a growing interest in our lyrics button. So I’m really pleased that our free users can now enjoy using lyrics on multiple devices. Go ahead and share your screen on your next Zoom call for some extra karaoke fun!”

Deezer have even created a karaoke playlist to get people singing along. So all users can use live lyrics when they listen now on all devices.
