With the deal between SiriusXM (owner of Pandora) and Stitcher now complete, Stitcher’s podcasts are now accessible via Pandora.

With the SiriusXM and podcast platform Stitcher acquisition finalized, SiriusXM integrate Stitcher’s into their other media platforms; Pandora, Simplecast and AdsWizz. Along with Stitcher comes their team, a mobile listening app, original programs, premium tier of exclusives, a podcast creation/distribution platform and the Midroll Media network for podcast advertising.

This deal brings all Stitcher podcasts to all Pandora tiers, including top titles such as Freakonomics Radio, My Favorite Murder, SuperSoul Conversations from the Oprah Winfrey Network, Office Ladies, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, Literally! with Rob Lowe, LeVar Burton Reads, and WTF with Marc Maron. All of these titles and many more are available worldwide via Stitcher and in the US via Pandora on-demand or using Pandora’s proprietary Podcast Genome Project techonology. This uses AI combined with human curation to tailor recommendations to your likes.

SiriusXM now claims “the largest addressable audience in North America across all categories of digital audio – music, sports, talk, and podcasts” with satellite radio service SiriusXM, streaming app Pandora and podcast platform Stitcher. SiriusXM hopes the deal will attract more creators to their network due to Stitcher’s production, marketing and distribution focused platform. Advertisers are now able to directly target ads to specific podcasts and listeners.

We are deepening our position in podcasting, the fastest-growing sector in digital audio, and with completion of this transaction, our vision is taking shape. With Stitcher and its varied assets, we are now a one-stop shop able to meet the needs of podcast creators, publishers and advertisers, while also providing listeners with access to great shows, series and programming.
