Artists have shared over 1000 stories about themselves on Pandora and to celebrate their bringing Taylor Swift, Lizzo, Snoop Dogg, Madonna, Katy Perry, and many more together for a Greatest Hits.

Pandora Stories were launched early last year to help artists tell a deeper story within their music. They are playlists that are intermingled with voices who can tell the “stories” behind their music, add context, or enhance the series of tracks with an additional narrative.

Since launch they have now had 1000 artists use the unique feature to tell a story through their custom playlists. In celebration they are launching Pandora Stories: The Greatest Hits with some of the world’s favourite and biggest artists.

The Greatest Hits playlist brings together the anecdotes, insights and stories from artists that Pandora feels are particularly special. It is in celebration of a feature that they believe helps to connect artists with their fans in a deeper way.

It includes:

  • John Legend confesses that his massive hit “All of Me” was inspired by Billy Joel’s 70s smash “Always a Woman.”
  • Katy Perry reveals the secret way she hits those high notes.
  • Mark Ronson recounts his fateful first meeting with Amy Winehouse.
  • Lizzo tells the tale of the dramatic hair flip that inspired “Good as Hell.”
  • Snoop Dogg shares the recipe for “Gin & Juice.”
  • Coldplay’s Chris Martin recalls how “Yellow” went from Neil Young parody to the band’s breakthrough hit.
  • Plus selections from other stories with Lewis Capaldi, 2 Chainz, The Lumineers, Common, Mary J. Blige, Selena Gomez, Hozier, Alicia Keys, Vampire Weekend, Perry Farrell, andPrince Royce.

You can apply to create your own Pandora Stories here. Then once you’re accepted you simply head to their AMP platform for artist promotion and head to the Stories section to join the fun.
