Deezer brings the Podcasts Tab to Asia, Africa and Oceania

Podcasts on Deezer are now available in over 180 countries after launching the Podcast Tab in Asia, Africa and Oceania.

Podcast fans from more countries around the world can discover a huge range of shows from Deezer. The Podcast tab, previously called Shows, helps fans find their favourite podcasts and discover new ones through 15 categories and sub-genres, with themes like self-help, business news, cooking, music and talk shows.

Listeners in Asia, Africa and Oceania will find local shows such as Podcast and Chill with MacG from South Africa, Wild With Sarah Wilson from Australia, and exclusive Deezer Originals like Straight Outta Asia, featuring five up-and-coming hiphop stars in Asia.

The Podcast Tab features tailored recommendations just for you, as well as the latest episode of your favourites. Deezer is the only streaming service that offers “Podcasts by duration.” This is a great way to find episodes that fit perfectly with your schedule, such as a timed workout or commute. Choose from 10, 20, 30 or 40 minute podcasts.

Our listeners love podcasts and we’ve had a sevenfold increase in monthly podcast users since 2017. Now we’re expanding the offering to users in Asia, Africa, and Oceania. We expect more fans around the world to turn to podcasts at home or on-the-go. Our country selector option also makes it possible to switch your location and listen to any local podcast in its native language.
