You can now enjoy seamless, personalised music on your Uber journeys thanks to Pandora integration into the Uber Partner app.
Uber have been working “with the help of several drivers” to bring Pandora’s music streaming ad-free to Uber Partner. Uber have partnered up with Spotify in the past to provide a soundtrack to people’s rides however whereas their partnership with Spotify was focussed on the passenger, this Pandora partnership seems to put the driver in control of the music.
With Pandora integrated directly into the Uber partner app, everything you need to play music, discover new artists, and save songs is all in one place. There’s no need to bounce back and forth between apps or fiddle with the radio. And with Pandora’s endless stations right at your fingertips, you won’t have to worry about ads, interruptions, or repetitive songs.
Uber will be giving out AUX cables to drivers to help them take part in the partnership. Uber are also going to be hosting special events at certain Greenlight Locations over the next few weeks to celebrate their partnership.
When Pandora’s ready, as a driver you just need to:
- Connect your phone to your car’s Bluetooth or AUX and set the stereo as needed
- In the Uber Partner app, tap the “Play Music” button on the map
- Log in or create a free Pandora account
- Pick your station and enjoy!
Pandora will be available in Uber Partner for drivers in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. The feature is rolling out in the next week and you’ll receive a message when it’s available.
