Being blocked in the EU since its launch five months ago, Meta’s text-based social platform, Threads is finally rolling out across Europe.

Meta just passed a major hurdle, with their text-based social media service launching to more countries in Europe. This is great news for European users interested in giving the app a go, and for existing Threads users, explains the sudden increase in notifications from friends signing up.

To sign up to Threads in Europe, or anywhere else in the world it’s available, it’s as simple as downloading the app on iPhone or Android, or accessing the web app at threads.net, then signing in with your Instagram details. You’ll be shown a list of your Instagram following who also have Threads, while your Instagram followers already on Threads will be notified of your arrival.

Threads recently hit 100 million monthly active users and has rolled out a number of features since launching.
