Acast partners with JioSaavn to bring podcasts to the streaming platform
The largest global podcast company – Acast and the second largest music streaming platform in India – JioSaavn, join forces to bring thousands of podcasts to millions of listeners.
Podcasts have become a huge deal on platforms such as Spotify. This has only increased recently with people locked indoors around the world wanting to be entertained. Other streaming services want in on the action.
Acast help partners such as The Guardian and the BBC publish to platforms such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts, while monetizing their content via ads and subscriptions.
With 104 million active users, JioSaavn’s partnership with Acast will bring all podcast content over to their platform over the next two months.
Podcasting is still largely nascent to consumers in the Indian market, with momentum growing quickly. The ability to grow and build new audiences, new shows and establish pathways for brands to access both is really just beginning for our 1.3 billion potential consumer market.
