The time of K-pop dominance is now. K-pop has been growing exponentially in recent years and the most popular groups such as BTS and BLACKPINK have been topping charts on their home turf and across the globe.
Spotify has said worldwide K-pop streams are averaging 7.97bn monthly plays. That’s up 27% from 2021. It’s been exactly two years since Spotify launched its service in South Korea, and its K-pop playlists are incredibly popular.
With all this in mind, we wanted to highlight the top K-pop groups on Spotify in 2023. As of February 2023, since we last checked the stats all five groups have grown their fanbase.

60.6 million followers
It probably comes as no surprise to see BTS at the top of this list. The group currently has 60.6 million followers on Spotify, with an impressive 39.4 million monthly listeners. That makes them the 10th biggest artist on Spotify overall! Their most-streamed song is “Dynamite,” with 1.58 billion streams.

37 million followers
BLACKPINK comes in second place with 35.1 million followers on Spotify, with 21.7 million monthly listeners. Their most-streamed song is “How You Like That,” with 733 million streams.

16.4 million followers
TWICE boast 15.8 million followers on Spotify, with 16.4 million monthly listeners. Their most-streamed song is the hit single “Fancy,” with 369 million streams.

10.3 million followers
Stray Kids currently have 9.7 million followers on Spotify, and 8 million monthly listeners. Their most-streamed song is “God’s Menu,” with 232 million streams. In December 2022 Stray Kids overtook EXO to gain fourth place in the Spotify K-pop stats list.

9.3 million followers
EXO currently has 9.3 million followers on Spotify, with an impressive 4.5 million monthly listeners. Their most-streamed song is “Love Shot,” which has 266 million streams.
