Spotify update their user and subscriber numbers for Q2 2022

Spotify reports their second quarter 2022 financial performance results, highlighting monthly active users and subscribers as of July 2022.
Despite cutting off Russian users earlier this year, as well as the continued pressures felt by households around the world due to inflation and the cost of living crisis, Spotify have seen a growing number of users and subscribers year-over-year and compared to last quarter. Spotify highlights the latest numbers and features introduced over the past quarter on “For the Record”, including:
- 433 million monthly active users: Up 19% year-over-year. Up from 422 million last quarter.
- 188 million Premium subscribers: Up 14% year-over-year. Up from 182 million last quarter.
- Findaway acquisition: Completion of the acquisition as Spotify expand into audiobooks.
- Sonantic: Acquired for new audio experiences with realistic voices from text.
- Supergrouper: An in-app experience to create and share your all-star group of artists.
- Live Events Feed: A personalized selection of live events in your local area.
- Live audio: Rolled out with live content from Alex Cooper and Swedish House Mafia.
- Most-streamed artist in a single day record broken: Bad Bunny with the release of Un Verano Sin Ti.
- Spotify Island: The launch of a virtual experience on Roblox.
- Video podcasts: Available to all creators in select countries.
