Spotify launch time-synched lyrics on Google’s Nest Hub smart display, letting Spotify Free and Premium users sing along to most songs.

After launching globally last November on mobile, desktop and the Spotify TV app, Spotify have gradually rolled out real-time lyrics to other devices such as consoles and smart TVs. While there’s been no official announcement from Spotify, various users and 9to5Google spotted availability for the feature on Nest Hub and other Google Assistant-enabled smart displays.

To view lyrics on Spotify on the Nest Hub, simply enter fullscreen mode, then tap the new lyrics button in the bottom-right corner, next to the heart icon. This will replace the background image with text that scrolls in time with the music. Lyrics will remain on across tracks, until you tap the lyrics button again.

Use RouteNote to get your own music on to Spotify for free, then use Musixmatch to add synched lyrics to your tracks.
