Instagram will likely allow live streamers to add a moderator soon

According to a leaker on Twitter, Instagram are working on letting users “Add a Moderator” to manage comments during live streams.

We’ve seen similar features come to other social media apps recently. The feature is much loved by frequent live streamers, as it takes the admin role off the host, so they can focus on entertaining their audience. This information comes from leaker and mobile developer Alessandro Paluzzi on Twitter, who dove into the backend of Instagram to uncover the potential feature coming soon.

According to the screenshots, one moderator can be chosen from anyone currently watching the stream and will be able to manage live comments. No update from Instagram, but if testing goes well, we will likely see the feature come to Instagram in the near future.
