The new Beats Fit Pro from Apple’s audio brand may be the best exercise true wireless noise cancelling earbuds for Apple and Android phones.

The just announced Beats Fit Pro are something of a cross between AirPods Pro with their compact design, active noise cancelling and smart features, and the Powerbeats Pro with their secure design. We saw Beats’ first take on noise cancelling earbuds back in June. While a great option at under $150, many still preferred the Powerbeats Pro for their secure fit thanks to the hook. One of the most surprising features of the earbuds from Apple’s audio brand was full compatibility with Android via the Beats app, unlike the AirPods range. Beats Fit Pro thankfully have many of the same cross-friendly features, making them suitable for both operating systems.

Beats Fit Pro lock in your ear and provide all-day comfort and stability thanks to the flexible, secure-fit wingtips on each bud. Simply twist the earbud back and tuck the wingtip into the upper ear. This makes the earbuds a great option for sports or just those that struggle with the fit of other true wireless earbuds. Find more on the design from Beats here. The buds are IPX4-rated sweat and water resistant.

A custom acoustic platform delivers powerful, balanced sound, while adaptive active noise cancelling blocks external noise for immersive sound. Real-time audio calibration, continuously pinpoints unwanted external sounds to optimize sound output. To stay aware of your surroundings and hear the world around you, use Transparency Mode to allow sounds to pass through. Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos on supported hardware and software provides an immersive music, movie and gaming multi-dimensional experience. When paired with an iPhone or iPad, dynamic headtracking uses the gyroscope and accelerometers to adjust the sound as you turn your head. Beam-forming mics with wind reduction ensure high-quality call performance and accurate voice assistant commands.

As on the Beats Studio Buds, Beats Fit Pro are compatibile across both Apple and Android. Industry-leading Class 1 Bluetooth gives extended range with fewer dropouts. On Apple devices, the H1 chip gives you plenty of smart features such as one-touch pairing to all of your devices, automatic switching between iCloud devices, audio sharing with supported AirPods and Beats, hands-free “Hey Siri” voice assistant, and Find My support to locate the buds with a sound or on a map. The Beats app on Android gives many of the same features such as one-touch pairing, customized controls, battery levels, firmware updates and a Fit Test. A single multi-function ‘b’ button on each bud controls music, listening modes, calls and the voice assistant, while optical sensors and motion accelerometers auto play/pause the music.
