Get ready to see Ariana Grande in Fortnites upcoming virtual concert ‘The Rift Tour’.
Epic has announced that Ariana Grande will be performing in-game for its recently announced ‘The Rift Tour’, which is taking place from August 7th – August 9th across five separate time slots.
Fortnite has previously hosted virtual concerts with artists such as BTS and Travis Scott, the latter bringing in a staggering 12.3 million viewers (with a total of 43.8 million all-time views). It’s likely the multi-platinum and Grammy award-winning artist will topple these figures. As always the event will be customized around the artist, so expect plenty of visuals similar to her in-person live shows, but amped up.
Speaking on the announcement Ariana said: “Working with Epic and the Fortnite team to bring my music to life inside the game has been so fun and such an honour.” Adding: “I can’t wait to join my fans and see all of your reactions to such an unforgettable, magical journey to new realities.”
In addition to the virtual performances, players can unlock unique customization items such as loading screens, emoticons, and sprays. In addition to this anyone that watches one of the Rift Tour concerts will receive the Cuddly Cloudcruiser Umbrella.
‘The Rift Tour’ will be a free event and the download for Fortnite itself is also totally free. Fortnite is available to play on pretty much all platforms, including Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android, PC, and Mac.
The Rift Tour performance times:
Show 1 – Saturday, 7 August 8AM AEST
Show 2 – Sunday, 8 August 4AM AEST
Show 3 – Sunday, 8 August 2PM AEST
Show 4 – Monday, 9 August 12AM AEST
