Check out the most-streamed artists of 2022 on Deezer following the announcement of the Deezer Awards, its version of Spotify Wrapped.

Who were the biggest artists this year? Over on French streaming service Deezer the most-played track, artist and albums of 2022 have just been revealed.

The platform’s Deezer Awards are colloquially referred to as Deezer Wrapped due to the overwhelming popularity of Spotify’s end of year Wrapped recap.

Deezer have sneaked in just before Spotify with their year round up – and My Deezer Year, where you can see your own most-streamed tracks of 2022, is soon to be launched.


Most popular music on Deezer in 2022

The most-streamed track of 2022 on Deezer was “As It Was” by Harry Styles, and the most-streamed artist was The Weeknd.

The biggest album of the year was revealed to be Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti. Other popular albums included 30 by Adele and RENAISSANCE by Beyoncé.

Of the most popular bands right now on Deezer, Imagine Dragons came out on top.

A more niche award is Songcatch – a song that listeners couldn’t get out of their heads in 2022. Eiffel 65’s “Blue (Da Ba Dee)” was victorious, despite being released in 1998. The track was however sampled by David Guetta this year.

Deezer also chose five rising artists tipped for the big time in 2023. The new artists were Ayra Starr, Flo, Oklou, SoFayGo, and Yune Pinku.
