TikTok has this summer’s hottest songs lined up
TikTok have revealed their Songs of the Summer 2024 predictions, a list of the hottest songs to soundtrack this year’s sunniest moments.
The time is finally here. The season for shades, ice creams, cocktails, swimsuits, trips to the beach, and a big fat speaker. (Sorry everyone in the UK).
TikTok have released their list of the songs they predict being at the top of every playlist this summer. They’re on top of the trends with their #SongOfTheSummer tag getting nearly half a million video creations added.
Head of UK Artist Services at TikTok, Nichal Sethi wrote: “rom Central Cee & Lil Baby’s newly released Band4Band, to Billie Eilish’s hugely anticipated LUNCH, it’s amazing to see the variety of genres, artists and songs which are shaping up to be this year’s #SongOfTheSummer on TikTok.
“Bright electro pop beats and quirky lyrics feature heavily in the chosen tracks, so it’s clear that our community is after a dopamine hit when it comes to their summer playlists. The team at TikTok will be keeping a close eye on the songs our community are connecting with over the next couple of months and look forward to seeing the results!”
Their song predictions span genres to take a peek at the most influential songs for parties and hanging out this summer. These predictions are selected by curators from around the music world and chosen for the UK and Ireland.
