The AI was trained to create an album cover from 50,000 examples taken from Spotify. The result was a trippy music video.

Spanish electronic RouteNote artist Sound Stabs have taken a creative approach to their latest music video – Interference. Bruno López trained deep-learning algorithm StyleGAN2 to create album covers based on 50,000 album covers from Spotify’s editorial playlists. After multiple days, López used a Python script to organize the results by colour and faces detected in the cover, then interpolate them to the beat of Interference.
