Believe it or not, there are actually new Christmas songs coming out each year and these are the 10 hottest heating up the festive speakers.

We all know the classics but if you’re getting tired of listening to Mariah Carey one more time (though surely not!) we’ve collected the 10 best new Christmas songs out this year. Will any of them be making the classics list in years to come? You decide.

Dolly Parton & Jimmy Fallon – Almost Too Early For Christmas

Everyone’s favourite country singer and one of the TV hosts of all time have come together for this sickly sweet song, questioning when is too early for Christmas – and should we commit regardless?

Sam Smith – Night Before Christmas

Smith wrote the song with his friend Simon Aldred, saying: “We wanted to make a Christmas song that felt like LOVE on Christmas Eve. I hope you can feel the warmth we felt when making it and I hope it gets you excited for the holiday season.”

OneRepublic – Dear Santa

Whilst the rest of us send our letters to Santa up the chimney, OneRepublic are trying to one-up us all to get heard by releasing a hit single in a plea to the big man. They even made a festive Claymation music video! You can bet that Santa sits up and takes notice of that.

Is this an anti-Christmas song? It’s hard to say exactly how Jon feels here, but it’s one for the country music lovers anyway. It’s a kind of, deep south version of Chris Rea’s classic Driving Home for Christmas.

There’s a Christmas train coming! Where it’s going? To Hope! Erm, wherever that is. Come to think of it, does anyone know which platform the Christmas Train stops at? I can’t find the timetable anywhere.

Bon Jovi are still kicking and they’ve come out with a new anthem celebrating the festive time of year. At least, I presume they’re still kicking. The vocals do sound a bit like a robot recreating Jon Bon Jovi’s voice… is that you Jon?

Just like Wizzard, Brandy would love if we could have Christmas everyday. I’m not so sure. It sounds like a lot of effort – and very expensive! Still, it’s a nice idea in your head… or in a song!
