As if students didn’t have it good enough with cheap, unlimited music streaming and Hulu access, Spotify have added SHOWTIME for even more watching.

Spotify have just added SHOWTIME to their Premium accounts for students. This means for the low price of $4.99 a month, students in the US have access to unlimited, on-demand and ad-free music streaming on one of the world’s favourite services, a giant library of great TV shows and films with Hulu, and now even more award-winning, top-rated programming at no extra cost with SHOWTIME thrown in.

Spotify chief premium officer, Alex Norström says: “Spotify Premium has just changed the content game for students. By joining forces with SHOWTIME and continuing our relationship with Hulu, Spotify Premium is now able to give students a complete world of music and video content, shows and film. This latest offer for U.S. students – both the millions already on Spotify Premium and those who are new- really is huge. Never before have students had this level of streaming entertainment options, at this unprecedented value, all in one package.”

At almost half the price of a regular subscription students will have access to SHOWTIME’s premium entertainment which includes the award-winning Shameless, Sacha Baron-Cohen’s new series Who Is America, long-running series Homeland, David Lynch’s surrealist gem Twin Peak, Jim Carrey’s upcoming series Kidding, and many more.

SHOWTIME also offers some of the biggest new films as well as live telecasts, music, comedy, political shows, documentaries, sports programming and more. Student Spotify subscribers will also have access to SHOWTIME’s live telecast of their East and West Coast feeds, and commercial-free access to all of their shows. This is all on top of Hulu’s already expansive library of award-winning series’ and acclaimed films.

Needless to say, if I were a student I wouldn’t be hesitating to sign up for Spotify Premium now. My only question is, why don’t the rest of us get such a tasty and tempting deal? Hopefully this incredible offer for endless entertainment doesn’t distract students too much from their work as they’re going to have a whole many more reasons to avoid their coursework now.

In order to sign up, students should go to updated plan—which includes Spotify Premium, Hulu, and SHOWTIME—is still only $4.99 per month. You don’t have to be a math major to see how that one adds up.

Existing Spotify Premium for Students subscribers should upgrade their plan to include both Hulu and SHOWTIME at no additional cost. And because we know students have plenty of other things they want to spend their money on—textbooks, for example 😉 —we’re offering the service to new subscribers for just $0.99 for the first three months.
