Listen to music with your friends no matter where you all are in the world thanks to Discord teaming up with Spotify to enhance your gaming experience.

Spotify have teamed up with Discord so that you can even better listen to all your favourite tunes with friends and share what’s in your ears right now. Connect your Spotify profile to Discord and instantly share what your listening with friends, it will appear under your name.

The most notable feature introduced will allows friends with Premium subscriptions to Spotify to join a listening party where their music will play at the same time. Perfect for playing online games with your friends, it’s like you’re in the room together playing, talking, and listening to some tunes.

To set it up is simple. Open your settings in Discord and go to Connections and then link your Spotify account.

Spotify’s product director of platform and partner experience, Mikael Ericsson: “This is the next natural step to highlight the importance of music as an integral part of the gaming experience. Starting today, we’re really excited to offer Spotify Premium and Discord users the ability to listen together as a group or highlight what they’re jamming out to while enjoying their favourite games.”
