A new deal for Deezer with Sonos means songs on Deezer will be available on Sonos Radio and Sonos Radio HD in countries including the US.

Deezer has started a partnership with Sonos. The new deal means Deezer will now provide a catalogue of music for Sonos Radio and subscription service Sonos Radio HD – so if you’re an artist with music on Deezer, that means more listeners for your songs released through a distributor like RouteNote.

Deezer’s catalogue of 90 million tracks will be available on Sonos’ two services. The French streaming platform will also provide licensing, royalties, metadata, and data management.

Deezer committed to developing ideas with Sonos such as working on new modes of music discovery, and the two companies stated they would work together on monetisation and growth for the radio services.

Jeronimo Folgueira, CEO of Deezer, said: This is the start of a very exciting journey for Deezer and Sonos. Through this partnership Deezer can reach new listeners in major markets around the world, including the US. Sonos has revolutionized the way we enjoy music and audio in our homes, with exceptional multi-room speakers, fantastic sound quality and thoughtfully curated Sonos Radio services. We can’t wait to play a key role in expanding this great customer offering.”

The new deal is a long-term one, starting in April 2023. The two companies have joined forces before, partnering on a HiFi offer and integrating Sonos Voice Control for Deezer users.
