Top 10 most-streamed songs on Spotify – the all-time most popular tracks 2024
As of January 2024, The Weeknd stays strong as the most-streamed song of all-time on Spotify, with almost 4 billion streams!
Recently we’ve been looking at Spotify’s most followed artists and those with the most monthly listeners. Spotify keep this streaming data public and you can find a breakdown of the top 100 most-streamed songs, as well as other listening data on Wikipedia here.
Since 31 December 2022, The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights is the most-streamed song of all time on Spotify. The synth-pop track was released just over four years ago and has since pulled in almost 4 billion plays, above Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You, with 3.7 billion streams, which previously held the position for a record 1,928 days (over five years!). These two tracks, along with Lewis Capaldi and Post Malone & Swae Lee are the only four songs on Spotify to reach 3 billion streams.

At number 3 is Tones And I who takes the top spot for the most streamed track by a female artist. Harry Styles with As It Was is the newest release on the top ten, launching on April 2022.
