The ever-prominent plugin developer Mixland has unveiled Subloom, a drum mixing console with intuitive controls and features for mixing your drum sounds.

Subloom offers an array of powerful features, including EQ, transient control, saturation, and a unique sub-synthesis channel with an innovative “Pitch Dive” function that replicates the natural resonant characteristics of live drum heads.

Mixland Subloom

With Subloom, Mixland has introduced a fresh approach to enhancing the depth and impact of low-end sounds in your mix. Now, you can finely tune your low-end tones to bloom, swoop, and dive in perfect sync with the tempo of your track.

Collaborating with Kiive Audio, Mixland has designed Subloom to be feature-rich and user-friendly. Its intuitive interface allows users to craft desirable drum sounds while dialling in the “raw” drum on one side and the desired “sub” on the other as you adjust the blend with two channel volume faders.

Subloom’s comprehensive feature set includes a 2-channel console for mixing source drums and triggered sine waves, a meticulous EQ with HPF, LPF, and 3-band EQ, a versatile transient designer, and a saturation circuit.

You can choose from various saturation modes, ranging from subtle warmth to tube-like distortion, and even utilize the “Warp” feature to tweak the interaction between the EQ and saturation circuits too.

Meanwhile, Subloom’s “Pitch Dive” section replicates the natural behaviour of live drums, meaning you can add natural depth and punch to your mix no matter the origins of your drum samples. Additionally, you can customize the speed, range, and decay of this effect as the plugin offers hands-on parameters so you maintain creative control.

Jesse Ray Ernster, a Grammy Award-winning mixer and co-developer of Subloom, expressed his enthusiasm for the plugin: “SUBLOOM is the perfect tool for any mixer or producer who wants to take their drum mixes to the next level. This plugin has been a game-changer for my drum mixing over the past year, and I believe it will become an essential tool for any mixer or producer.”

Subloom offers an accessible and powerful solution for enhancing drum mixes, no matter how much experience you have, and the plugin offers numerous presets to get you started.
