Content Unlocks allows you to reward fans for social actions, such as a free download in exchange for a follow on Spotify or subscribe on YouTube.
Content Unlocks are available to all for free with our partner site Push.fm. With fully customizable options, the possibilities for Content Unlocks are only limited by your own imagination. In the example below, I will be offering a free download of the track in exchange for a minimum of three social actions.
Click Create New Campaign, then Content Unlock.
Choose what you’d like to offer fans. It can be either a downloadable file of any kind, such as an MP3 of your single, ZIP of your album, a wallpaper, etc, or secret message, such as a coupon code, URL to early access tickets, link to your private demo on SoundCloud, etc. Click Next Step.
Upload your file or input your text. You may want to rename the file before uploading, as this will be public. Click Next Step once done.
Enter the title, description, custom URL and image. None of these are required but will help your campaign stand out. Then click Next Step.
Choose the social actions you want to set. Different streaming and social platforms have different actions to choose from. The more actions you set, the more likely you will target the chosen social and streaming platforms of your audience. Use the dots to the left to re-order.
Set how many actions are needed to gain access to the download and whether any specific actions are required. Required social actions will show an asterisk beside them on the landing page.
Choose a title to help you identify the campaign in your Push.fm Dashboard. Click Launch Campaign. The files will now upload.
Click the link to test your Content Unlock. Here’s one I made earlier.
