How to create playlists on Apple Music
Here’s how you can collect songs into one playlist whether you’re listening on iPhone, Android, PC, Mac or tablets.
Playlists are a great way to create a mood, curate a taste, and soundtrack a party; they’re mixtapes with unlimited potential. So if you’re using Apple Music here’s how you can easily create playlists whatever device you’re listening on.
Create playlists on the Apple Music app for smartphones and tablets:
- Open the app and find the first song you want to be in your playlist
- Hold your finger down on the song
- Select ‘Add to Playlist’ then ‘New Playlist’
- Name it whatever you like, giving it a theme name can help you find it again later when you’re in the mood for that playlist’s music
- Then when it’s created and has your first song choice in you can do the same with any other songs on Apple Music and select the playlist you created instead of ‘New Playlist’ unless you want to make more!
Create playlists on the Apple Music app for Mac:
- Open the app and search for the first song you want to be in your playlist
- Click the three dots ‘…’ next to the track title
- Select ‘Add to Playlist’ then ‘New Playlist’
