Tesla CEO and all-around memer Elon Musk has made a techno track about NFT’s and has said he will be releasing it as an NFT as well.

The Tesla CEO and Space X Founder, Elon Musk is known for his interest in cryptocurrencies and his meme-filled Twitter posts. It seems now the two have met in the middle as Elon creates a techno track about NFT’s (Non-Fungible Tokens).

Musk recently tweeted that he is “selling this song about NFTs as an NFT.” The tweet was accompanied by a two-minute video featuring the NFT-themed techno track.

The music plays whilst a digital NFT-themed trophy, which features nods to cryptocurrency and the memes surrounding it, revolves in space. Sitting at the top of the trophy is a moon, a reference to the common crypto meme that references the currency “going to the moon”.

It also features the acronym “HODL”, a common shorthand in the crypto community that stands for “hold on for dear life”. In addition to this, several golden dog figurines decorate the middle of the trophy, which likely to be a reference to the growing cryptocurrency Dogecoin.

Musk is the latest person to take an interest in NFTs, a blockchain-based token system that has been rising in popularity with musicians and artists. In fact, recently Kings of Leon released their latest album this way and declared it the future.

An NFT is essentially a digital deed that grants the buyer ownership of a particular file, such as a song, photo, or video, recently an NFT was sold for a staggering $69 million.

It’s unclear if Musk is being serious or playing yet another joke with the masses, something he does regularly. It’s also unclear if Elon created the song himself, it is likely though as the billionaire did publish his own music to SoundCloud in early 2020. The song “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe” made it to the platform’s top 10.
