Do you want a “Dynamite” themed LEGO BTS set? Silly question. You need a BTS LEGO set, and you know it.

It’s time to separate the real BTS fans from the Army wannabes. Will the new BTS LEGO have you reaching for your wallet, RRP of $99.99 ready to go?

There’s not a lot to LEGO’s BTS set, the design of which is modelled off the music video for “Dynamite,” BTS’ most-streamed song on Spotify and YouTube. It does however feature a detachable stage so you can re-enact the video with the RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook minifigures.

The 749-piece LEGO BTS set is especially cute as it was designed by a pair of LEGO and K-pop superfans, Josh and Jacob, who submitted the LEGO Ideas design under the usernames JBBrickFanatic and BangtanBricks in 2021.

Head of LEGO Product Group Federico Beghe said: “When we saw Josh and Jacob’s colourful design we knew it would be a hit and this was proved by how quickly they reached 10,000 views in the LEGO Ideas voting. The BTS fans have already got behind the design and so it was important that we were as faithful to the original creation as possible. The set highlights creativity, passion and most importantly, fun! We can’t wait to see the fans building and displaying it.”

Jacob said: “Josh did the building and design work and, as a massive BTS fan, I told him what needed to be in it, what details were most important. It was a really fun process.”

Judging by comments on the product page and elsewhere, general consensus seems to be that fans love the design and the little details lifted from the music video, but not the hundred-dollar price tag.

Nevertheless, the release date for the LEGO Ideas 21339 BTS Dynamite set is March 1, and you can get it here!
