Apple Music is now available in Albania, Brunei, Burkina Faso and Pakistan, bringing the service to 172 countries and regions.

Apple Music has expanded into four new markets, giving artists and labels the potential to reach listeners in more parts of the world.

It was found by Aaron Perris following an update to Apple’s official Media Services availability list on 30 September, with the expansion bringing Apple Music’s total reach to 172 countries and regions.

It comes more than 11 years after Apple Music first launched in more than 100 countries in June 2015.

Where is Apple Music expanding?

Apple Music can now be found within Albania, Brunei, Burkina Faso and Pakistan.

The rollout is part of a wider period of international expansion for Apple’s services. As Apple reported earlier this year, Apple Music had its best year yet in 2025 for both listenership and new subscribers, while the company has continued bringing its services to more users around the world.

The latest expansion also arrives alongside other recent Apple Music developments, including the opening of the new Apple Music Hall in London and new features being added to the service.

The bigger picture for music distribution

Apple Music’s latest expansion may only add four countries, but it’s another reminder of how music streaming continues to operate on a global scale. As streaming services continue to expand into new markets, artists and labels have more opportunities to reach listeners outside their home countries.

That makes global distribution an important part of releasing music. Having your catalogue available across major streaming platforms means you’re ready to reach new audiences as those platforms grow.

RouteNote distributes music to Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, and many more platforms, helping independent artists, musicians and labels reach listeners around the world.

As streaming platforms continue to expand their reach, make sure your music is ready to reach the world too.
