Apple Music subscribers can now identify classical tracks on Shazam, then stream them in full on Apple Music Classical.

Apple launched Apple Music Classical in March this year, after acquiring classical music streaming service Primephonic in 2021. The classical-focused music streaming app is available to all Apple Music subscribers at no extra cost.

With Shazam too under Apple’s belt, after acquiring it in 2018, the music identifying app now supports Apple Music Classical. You can now play full-length classical music in Shazam or Open in Classical.

As long as you have both Shazam and Apple Music Classical on your phone, here’s how to identify classical music in Shazam and play it in full on Apple Music Classical:

  1. On Shazam, tap the big “S” button in the middle of the screen
  2. Once Shazam has identified the song, tap the three vertical dots in the top right corner
  3. Tap Open in Classical
  4. Apple Music Classical will open with the Shazamed release

Upload your music to Apple for free with RouteNote, and get your music on Apple Music, Apple Music Classical, Shazam and the iTunes Store.
