Ableton’s Loop Summit for “producers, thinkers, educators and creative technologists” have announced speakers including Prince’s audio engineer.

Loop is for music makers: artists, technologists, educators, and creative thinkers of all kinds. It is a gathering of individuals interested in not just observing, but also in participating and joining the conversation around music, technology and creativity.

The 3-day event will feature artists Jlin, William Basinski and Discwoman. There will also be talks from Susan Roger – Prince’s audio engineer and a Berklee professor. Loop Summit will also feature studio sessions with mastering engineer Mandy Parnell and Machinedrum.

Partnering technology companies include LEAF Audio and Teenage Engineering. The evenings will be held at the Berlin club Tresor where attendees will be able to catch many of the artists performing that appear during the day of the summit.

How do I get a ticket?

Because of limited capacity at Loop, tickets will be allocated via a lottery. We will accept applications from anyone involved in making music. We’re not judging your work, but we do want to make sure you’re active in your creative field.

If you apply for one of the 50 subsidized tickets, you will be asked to provide additional information about yourself.

After the registration period ends, tickets will become available for purchase to those who are allocated a spot in the lottery. If you are offered a ticket, you will be notified by email and will have one week to make your purchase. If you do not do so within this time, your ticket will be allocated to the next person in line.
