Top 10 most-streamed songs on Spotify – the all-time most popular tracks 2024
As of April 2024, The Weeknd stays strong as the most-streamed song of all-time on Spotify, with over 4 billion streams!
Recently we’ve been looking at Spotify’s most followed artists and those with the most monthly listeners. Spotify keep this streaming data public and you can find a breakdown of the top 100 most-streamed songs, as well as other listening data on Wikipedia here.
Since 31 December 2022, The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights holds the number 1 rank as the most-streamed song of all time on Spotify. The synth-pop track was released almost five years ago and has since pulled in over 4 billion plays, above Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You, with 3.8 billion streams, which previously held the position for a record 1,928 days (over five years!). Today, there are over nine tracks with over 3 billion streams!
Tones And I takes the top spot for the most streamed track by a female artist. Harry Styles with As It Was is the newest release on the top ten, launching on April 2022.
Since we last updated the list earlier this year, Blinding Lights has surpassed the 4 billion streams milestone. We’ve also seen Tones And I’s Dance Monkey drop from the number five spot to number eight, with other tracks gaining streams faster. At number ten, Imagine Dragon’s Believer replaces rockstar (feat. 21 Savage) by Post Malone.
