Share music with special moving art as Spotify Canvas shares come to listeners too
After artists loved being able to share special moving artworks with their music Spotify are bringing the feature to listeners.
Spotify’s Canvas brings a new life to certain artist’s tracks with an accompanying moving piece of art/video loop. It breathes another layer into their music as you listen and earlier this year Spotify made them shareable for the artist on Instagram.
Artists and fans alike have loved the new moving images so much that Spotify are launching the feature further so that listeners can add the Canvas loop to their Instagram Stories. Canvas social sharing will be available to users over the next week from the Spotify app.
To ensure that the feature is launched smoothly to all users they will roll it out in stages of users starting on Monday, June 8th. They expect that all Spotify users around the world will have access to the feature on Android and iOS by June 11th.
Canvas shares will loop 8 second Canvas art to fit Instagram’s 15 second stories though the audio of the track won’t be played. Stories will have a clickable link that will take any viewers straight to the Spotify app to listen from there.
