LANDR Mastering Software Now Available as a Desktop App
After mastering 1.5 million tracks LANDR have launched a desktop application to digitally master your music.
LANDR’s new application means that you can automatically master all of your tracks straight from your Apple Mac (a Windows version is expected in the coming months). You can now master tracks as you export them from your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) as well as storing backups in the cloud.
LANDR’s desktop app allows you to master songs in bulk, whereas before on the website you had to master songs individually, something that you were often left waiting for it to finish. Speaking of which, using the new app; automatic, digital mastering is faster than ever as it downloads to your computer rather than being sent through an email link.
As well as saving to your computer more easily the LANDR app will also automatically save everything you master using the app (and LANDR.com) will be backed up automatically onto their “super secure cloud – accessible from anywhere, anytime”.
LANDR CEO Pascal Pilon said in a statement:
Our goal at LANDR is to make it easy for musicians to get the sound they are looking for without needing to learn complex audio tools. With this app, we’re very excited to introduce that vision directly into musician’s DAW’s where our mastering is integrated into the process of creating music.
With our bulk uploading features we hope to offer busy audio professionals a much easier workflow that gives them the great sound they are used to from Landr, much faster. We see this new iteration of the LANDR platform as the ultimate workflow experience for anyone finishing a song and craving to see how they’ll sound on radio and on streaming services.
We are already being pressured by our Windows users to release a version for them, and we hope to do that just in time for NAMM this January, along with many new features coming in the future.
LANDR’s new desktop app works with paid subscriptions, so to celebrate its launch LANDR are offering 15% off subscriptions between the 23rd and 30th of November by using the code ‘MASTERFASTER’ when signing up. This also applies to yearly subscriptions which are already discounted at 15% for a total 40% off normal price.
