YouTube Music currently has more songs available for streaming than Spotify and Apple Music

YouTube Music now has over 80m songs available, while competitors such as Spotify and Apple Music advertise over 70m and 75m respectively.
A recent blog post from Google said “YouTube Music Premium subscribers will enjoy access to more than 80 million songs and thousands of playlists”. A user on Reddit also spotted the updated number on the app.
This is a huge leap from YouTube Music’s previous report of 60 million tracks in August last year. The latest numbers from competitors are as follows:
- Apple Music: over 75 million
- Amazon Music Unlimited: 75 million
- Deezer: over 73 million
- Spotify: over 70 million
- TIDAL: over 70 million
