Iconic Sound have created the first ever analog instrument cable that uses “Analogue Light” to travel down the cable fibre whereas most instrument cables use copper to deliver audio signals.

The LightLead improves over regular leads as it has no loading, no capacitance, no micro-phonics, no crackling and is isolated from electric shocks.

This doesn’t mean the cable is digital as it uses no encoding, digitization or modulation and instead uses Iconic Sound’s patented optical analog technology to transfer the audio signal as light.

The LightLead promises the quality of vinyl and the clarity of optical fiber, losing no quality through interference and ground loop problems which you can encounter with regular electric copper cables.

The small team behind LightLead have been working on it for over 10 years and are currently funding it’s production through a kickstarter campaign which you can visit here.
