ByteDance, the company behind TikTok, have launched Sponge Band in China, an AI-assisted audio recording and effects app.

Looking to up your game on short-form video apps by improving your audio? The Chinese technology company behind TikTok and Douyin (the Chinese version of TikTok), ByteDance have launched a new app in China. Sponge Band describes itself as “AI music creation and editing tools” targeted towards professionals and newbies, looking to create music anywhere.

The easy-to-use, portable, audio creation app supports multi-track recording and monitoring, importing audio, and effects. Where Sponge Band really stands out is in its AI tricks. One-click processing can reduce unwanted background noise or boost vocals to get your audio sounding just right. One-click remixing can switch up the style of music with just a tap. Automatic mashup can effortlessly fuse two songs together. You also extract vocals or accompaniment with a single tap. Users will also find more AI-powered tools like one-click transposition, one-click mixing and more. Once you’ve finished your master piece, you can easily save the track as an audio file or video.

Those interested can find the app on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, however, you’ll reportedly need an invitation code to sign up.
