You can now add music from TikTok straight to your YouTube Music playlist, with ‘Add to Music App’ enabling support for more services.

Found a song you like on TikTok? You can now easily save it to your favorite streaming service including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, SoundCloud, Melon, Anghami and now YouTube Music.

Since closing their music streaming service, TikTok has been rolling out the ‘Add to Music App’ feature to more countries and streaming services, creating a direct path from discovery to superfan, helping both consumers and artists alike.

When watching videos with music on the For You Feed, or listening through the artist’s Sound Detail Page, you’ll see the ‘Add song’ button and track name at the bottom. From here, you simply need to choose your preferred service and link the services. This will add the track to a ‘TikTok Songs’ playlist on your chosen music app. Your choice will be remembered the next time you use the ‘Add song’ button, which can be changed in Setting and Privacy.

According to TikTok and Luminate, since rolling out last year, the ‘Add to Music App’ feature “has generated well over a billion track saves – and many billions more streams – on music streaming services.”

Add to Music App continues to deliver real results for the music industry, with hundreds of millions of track saves translating into billions of streams on music streaming services. By partnering with YouTube Music, we’re expanding this impact globally, helping artists reach new audiences while giving fans a seamless way to engage with the music they discover on TikTok.

We’ve seen this feature expand several times over the past couple of years. Until this announcement, YouTube Music remained the biggest question mark, due to the existance of their own short-form video platform YouTube Shorts, which naturally has tight integration with their music streaming service.
