If you can’t access you Spotify account because you’ve forgotten your login details or think you’ve been hacked, follow these steps.

Are you having issues with logging into your Spotify account? These tips should help you start streaming again in no time. Don’t forget, there are a few ways to sign up for a Spotify account, such as Facebook, Apple and Google. Try logging in with these if you’re stuggling.

I can’t remember my password

Head to Spotify’s password reset form, enter your username or email address, find the email and tap Reset password to create a new password. If you can’t find the email, be sure to check your spam and junk folders. If Spotify says the password reset link was invalid, reset your password again, but try opening the emailed link in a private browser or on a different device.

I can’t remember my email address or username

Go to the password reset form and enter any possible email addresses or usernames. The form will let you know if the details are unrecognized. When you enter the correct login, the form will tell you that the email has been sent.

I can’t log in with Facebook or Apple

Create a Spotify password to login with your email address instead. Head to Spotify’s password reset form, enter the email address associated with your Facebook or Apple account. Note that Apple can hide your email address if you choose to when you sign up. Click here to find out what email address Apple created. Follow the steps above, under I can’t remember my password to reset. Once reset, just login as usual with your email address and new password.

I can’t access my emails

To reset your Spotify password, you’ll need to login to the email address linked to your account. If you can no longer access the email address, you’ll need to create a new Spotify account. If you suspect your email address has been changed without your permission, head to Spotify’s contact form, select Logging in, then Someone’s taken over my account.
