Moto Buds Loop are a partnership between Motorola, Bose, and Swarovski for these premium sounding, crystal encrusted, open earbuds.

Announced on stage alongside the new Razr Ultra phone and Watch Fit, the Moto Buds Loop are Motorola’s first open-style earbuds. Motorola’s previous true wireless earbuds lineup includes the likes of Moto Buds+, Moto Buds 100, Moto Buds 105 and Moto Buds 600, all of which feature a stem or circular design. Introduced last year, Moto Buds+ were Motorola’s first partnership with premium audio brand Bose. Just earlier this week, we saw Skullcandy’s latest offering with Bose tech built-in too.

The inclusion of ‘Sound by Bose’ technology brings Bose’s high-end sound design to these new earbuds. The earbuds feature 12mm ironless drivers, with support for spatial sound technology, bringing a more immersive listening experience. The earbuds also feature a dual-microphone system and CrystalTalk AI, leading to clear calls with reduced background noise.

Reminiscent of Bose’s own Ultra Open Earbuds, open earbuds allow wearers to stay fully aware of their surroundings by being placed outside of the ear canal. Instead of an in-ear design, such as the AirPods Pro, the Moto Buds Loop hug the side of your ear. Open earbuds usually provide additional comfort too. According to Motorola, open designs are the fastest growing category in earbuds. The link between the inner and outer part of the earbud isn’t extendable like on the Bose, but instead made of a flexible silicone that molds to your ear.

The Moto Buds Loop come in two colors, Pantone-curated French Oak and Pantone-curated Trekking Green. The French Oak option comes in a beige finish with crystals along the band from Austrian jewelry company Swarovski. Motorola notes these earbuds are their first product in partnership with Swarovski, suggesting there may be more sparkly Motorola products to come. Both colors come with a matching case and “Sound by Bose” printed along the top.

The earbuds can connect to any Bluetooth enabled device, however pairing with select Motorola devices will provide enhanced voice controls via Moto AI. This gives features such as a summary of notifications or the ability to launch a recording of a meeting. Devices that support Moto AI includes the Razr, Razr Ultra, and Razr+ 2025. The addition of Smart Connect technology means you can easily switch between Motorola and Lenovo devices.

Motorola says the Moto Buds Loop have a water-repellent design, which protects the earbuds against spills, splashes and light rain, but notably not submersion in water, pressurized water or other liquids. There is no official IP-rating mentioned in the press release, which is unusal as the Moto Watch Fit announced alongside does have a rating.

Moto Buds Loop last for 8 hours on a single charge. When paired with the charge case, the buds are good for up to 37 hours of playback.

The Moto Buds Loop will be available in select countries starting this summer. There is no word on specific availability or US pricing yet. While not confirmed by Motorola, this is likely due to tariffs. The UK pricing is £129.99 for the regular Trekking Green model and £249.99 for the French Oak model with Swarovski Crystals. For reference, the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds are currently on sale on Amazon for $249.99 (affiliate link).
