Top 10 most streamed albums in a single week as of 2025
Last year, Taylor Swift broke her own record for the most streams on an album in one week on Spotify, hitting a huge new milestone!
Taylor Swift’s eleventh studio album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT is Spotify’s most streamed album in a week. This album is the first album in Spotify history to hit one billion streams in a single week. This includes streams on the 31-track “Anthology” edition. Prior to the release, the most streamed album in a single week was Taylor Swift’s last studio album Midnights, which now sits at number two.
This comes after the album broke the record for the most streams in a single day on Spotify, at over 300 million. Plus, the first track on the album Fortnight (feat. Post Malone) broke Spotify’s record for the most streams on a song in a single day, with a number of other tracks from this album scoring places on the top ten. On release day, Taylor Swift also became the most-streamed artist in a single day in Spotify history, breaking her previous record achieved in October last year, with the release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version). As if that wasn’t enough, Spotify has also revealed THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT was the most pre-saved album Countdown Page in their history.
There’s a new entry on the list since we last updated in January earlier this year. American rapper Playboi Carti’s third studio album MUSIC (also known as I AM MUSIC) joins the list at number eight with 490 million streams, pushing Harry Styles out of the top ten.
Other notable artists include Bad Bunny and Drake, who have three and two albums repectively on the top ten list. The oldest album on the list below is Scorpion from Drake, which was release back in June 2018 and held the record for the most streamed album in a week for almost four years.
