Top 10 most streamed albums in a single week as of 2026
Taylor Swift now holds the top three positions for the most streams in a single week on Spotify, as her latest album lands in second place.
Taylor Swift’s eleventh studio album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT is still Spotify’s most streamed album in a week. This album is the first and only album in Spotify history to hit one billion streams in a single week. This includes streams on the 31-track “Anthology” edition. Prior to the release, the most streamed album in a single week was Taylor Swift’s previous studio album Midnights, which now sits at number three.
This comes after the album broke the record for the most streams in a single day on Spotify, at over 300 million. On release day, Taylor Swift also became the most-streamed artist in a single day in Spotify history, breaking her previous record achieved in October last year, with the release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version). As if that wasn’t enough, Spotify has also revealed THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT was the most pre-saved album Countdown Page in their history.
Since we last updated this list, Taylor Swift dropped her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, which gained 887 million streams in its first week, making it Spotify’s second most popular on this list. While it may come as a surprise that it didn’t top her previous album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT, you need to consider the streams are based on the total number of streams across all of the 12 tracks on The Life of a Showgirl, versus the 31 tracks on THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. The release of The Life of a Showgirl saw the lead track, The Fate of Ophelia, break a record for the most-streamed song in a single day on Spotify, surpassing 30 million streams and breaking her previous record with Fortnight.
This new entry pushed UTOPIA by Travis Scott to position eleven and out of the top ten.
Other notable artists include Bad Bunny and Drake, who have three and two albums repectively on the top ten list. The oldest album on the list below is Scorpion from Drake, which was release back in June 2018 and held the record for the most streamed album in a week for almost four years.
