Top 10 most-streamed albums in a single day on Spotify in 2025
Record-breaking first-day streams show a huge amount of anticipation for an album by devoted fans. Here are the top 10 as of March 2025.
In April last year, Taylor Swift overtook herself with the most-streamed album in a single day, following the release of her eleveth studio album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. Not only did this album exceed the previous record, but with over 310 million streams, it almost doubled the first-day streams of her previous album Midnights released in October 2022. This record gives Taylor Swift all of the top three spots, as well as four albums on the top ten list.
As of March 2025, we have a new entry with Playboi Carti’s third studio album MUSIC (also known as I AM MUSIC) coming in as the seventh most streamed album in a single day, achieving this record on release day, as with all other albums on this list.
Prior to the release of THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT, the most streamed album in 2024 was Beyoncé’s COWBOY CARTER at 76.1 million first day streams.
