The Mini Moog Factory

The Mini Moog factory is a colourful experience packed with the history of the Model D synth. Here, you can learn what songs the analog synth has featured in and how it’s defined itself amongst a vast market of synthesizers.

The Jukebox Room tells the story of the most influential songs featuring the Model D through the music itself. A collection of prog rock, disco, reggae and hip-hop all reside here with over 45 songs to listen to.

In the Practice Room, you can discover and play with Minimoog leads, basses, and other sounds with the site’s Minimoog Model D emulation. You can create, share, and save original recordings with this interactive synthesizer and have hours of fun.

Prepare yourself for a journey through time and discover more about the history of the synthesizer and the engineers who designed it as well as the waves it’s made on music in the Archives.

Grab your popcorn and enter the Theatre. Tuck into a collection of performances and other videos that show you over 50 years of live performances and studio sessions with the Minimoog Model D.

One of my personal favourites is the Build-a-Synth room. Here, you can print templates and build a tiny paper Minimoog as decor. After all, paper aeroplanes are overrated.

If you’re looking for something a little more interactive then you’ll find solace in Face Synth. You’ll find a fun and easy-to-use Instagram filter which integrates with your smartphone or tablet easily, and you can use your facial expressions and body movement to trigger the Minimoog’s controls.

Speaking of mobile devices, you can also download the Model D App. Learn about the sound and workflow of the classic Model D with your iOS or macOS device with the official Minimoog Model D app. Start playing with more than 160 presets or design your own!

Finally, you can head to Moog’s online Gift Shop and bag accessories, clothing, and Model D collectables. Whether you’re looking for a snazzy tee, a coffee mug, or another lifestyle accessory, you can find them at the Moog Gift Shop.
