MIDI-SEQ-8 – A Step Sequencer To Play MIDI On Android

Personal Circuits have created a step sequencer in Eurorack size that plugs into your Android smartphone or tablet so you can play MIDI files on your phone.

Here’s what Personal Circuits say about their MIDI-SEQ-8:

  • The MIDI-SEQ-8 is a step sequencer that uses our Android app to directly play MIDI files through your analog synthesiser over USB
  • The convenience of a smartphone or tablet driven sequencer instead of a traditional and expensive hardware sequencer
  • Our hardware module is Eurorack size and only 8HP wide, leaving room in your rack for other modules.
  • If you are a composer, create your own MIDI sequences, backing tracks or songs on your synthesiser, and play back from your phone

You can buy the MIDI-SEQ-8 here for $149 or if you want to build your own module they have the PCB set for $29. Their MIDI sequencer Android app is available here.
