Electronic music festival giant Ultra Worldwide have announced that they will be bringing a festival to Hong Kong this year.

The globally renowned EDM festival specialists Ultra Worldwide have revealed their plans to bring a festival to Hong Kong as part of their ‘Road to Ultra’ mini-festivals. With no confirmed date or locale yet (except that it’s in Hong Kong – duhh) Ultra will be bringing their single stage spin-off festival to the Chinese city along with Bangkok, Taipei and Manila.

Ultra was founded in  1999 on Miami’s South Beach where it’s primary festival has taken place every year since, except in Bayfront Park, Miami now. The festival was so successful that it’s gone on to become the global festival host it is today with festivals in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Seoul, Split, Croatia, Tokyo, Rio De Janeiro, Bali, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Chile, and Ibiza.

In addition to it’s multi-country festivals Ultra unveiled their ‘Road to Ultra’ concept in 2015. Road to Ultra aims to bring their massively successful events to even more countries with one stage, allowing them to come to more countries thanks to it’s less costly set-up. That doesn’t mean the focus of Ultra is lost on the mini-festies with “world-class visuals, lighting, cryogenics and pyrotechnics” ensuring their festival’s continued, world-class performances. With acts like Tiesto, Hardwell, Fedde Le Grand, Martin Garrix, Alesso and many others ‘Road to Ultra’ definitely doesn’t lose the talent either.
