As TikTok begin testing longer videos, how long can your videos actually be on the video platform famous for 60-second, vertical shorts.

TikTok is one of the world’s most popular video apps and platforms in general. It has nearly 1 billion users worldwide, more than that if you count it’s Chinese counterpart Douyin.

How long can a TikTok video be?

Any user can now upload vertical videos between 15 seconds and 3 minutes in length. Many users will be able to upload videos up to 10 minutes in length, however it may not yet be possible in your region. You will have the option for 10-minute videos if your app is up to date and it is available in your area.

Additionally, TikTok allow certain users to upload up to 20 minute videos for Premium content. It was recently reported that TikTok have begun experimenting with videos up to 30 minutes in length.

Recent reports suggest that TikTok are encouraging users to upload landscape videos. It seems they are slowly moving towards becoming a regular video platform, with longer, landscape videos potentially being a norm on their app soon. However, their focus remains in short, snappy vertical videos.
