stamen musicStamen “Nemanja Stamenkovic” is a House producer with a great reputation. Recently Stamen was nice enough to sit down with us and answer some of your questions.

Q: What inspired you to start making music and at what age?

After some time of my DJ careers I decided to make contact with music production because I saw all the big DJs will also have their own songs.
This was 2008. and I was then only 15 years old.

I remember when I installed Ableton and set up first keyboard I said: What the f*** is this? It was very strange to me that the first contact with music production. I started to work hard, 5-6 hours a day. How I got into it I did not think about my school and nothing other. A few year after my active and inactive productions every day I had a finished my first song and the time has come to ask for a record label that would like to release.

In 2011 when one of the publishing house sent a reply that they want to publish my first song I was very happy. That feeling after that never again never experienced. Very soon after that I started to release music with many great label etc… 2012 year I started the with my own publishing house “Ibiza Ibiza Records” and very quickly I made a success in the music industry with my label and of course it helped me a lot to get in contact with other artists, share experience…. Very soon after that started to be happening magic that my songs they started to support the most famous dj’s on the world and the same to my music plays in the world’s best clubs like Amnesia Ibiza, Space Ibiza and many more… That has contributed a lot in career and I do concerts/gigs with names like Benni Benassi, David Morales, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Tom Novy, Arno Cost, Richard Gray, Alex Gaudiano, Daren Emerrson, Brodinski, Cristian Varela, Avicii, Felix Da Housecat, and many more well-knows artist. After all these efforts, obstacles and now I’m very happy as I work with the best publishing houses/label – artist on the world.

Q: Where did you learn your skills from, was it self taught or through education?

Never from anyone did not ask for help to assist me in music production special then I lived in the city where I think no one seriously worked out that way about electronic music. I always thought that I can alone best understand the music and not asking for help from anyone. I thought if I ask for help from anyone, then it is not me, not my talent.
