A refreshed Deezer Android TV app brings a richer music experience to the biggest screen in the house.

Deezer’s big-screen refresh

Deezer has revealed that it’s releasing a completely reworked Android TV app. Following the strong growth in TV-based listening, Deezer wants to make its TV listening experience feel just as polished and intuitive as using a phone or desktop app.

Rather than a light refresh, it’s a complete overhaul. Everything is designed to feel faster, clearer, and more enjoyable on a larger display.

“At Deezer, we’re continuously evolving our product to reflect how people listen to music in their day-to-day life. With this new Android TV experience, we’re bringing a more intuitive, high-quality way to enjoy music on the biggest screen in the home, designed to meet the highest of expectations.”

So, what’s new?

Deezer is leveling the TV experience in many ways. The interface is cleaner and more modern, navigation is smoother, visuals are richer, and Hi-Fi audio quality comes to TV to truly bring the music to life on the bigger screen.

Discovery takes center stage

Part of the upgrades include a greater focus on discovery on the TV, with Deezer leaning into its personalization tools. Deezer Flow now appear on TV, serving up personalization recommendations on the big screen. “100%” artist playlists are now on TV too, alongside track mixes that instantly generate continuous listening based on your chosen track.

Built for the living room

Deezer is also making better use of the big screen itself. The new immersive player view puts visuals front and center, while enhanced artist profiles give more context around the music playing.

Lyrics have been upgraded too, now displayed word by word for a more karaoke-friendly experience. It’s a small touch, but one that clearly nods to how people use music on TV. Recently, we saw Apple Music roll out new karaoke features so people can sing along with tvOS 26.

The bigger picture

Deezer’s move seems to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Spotify who have upgraded its TV experience in the past few years. By aligning its TV experience more closely with its mobile and desktop apps, while leaning into the big screen experience, Deezer is positioning itself more competitively in the living-room streaming space.

When and where it’s available?

The updated Deezer Android TV experience is rolling out now across compatible Android TV devices, with access available through the Google Play Store.

Deezer has also confirmed plans to expand the experience to Fire TV through the Amazon Appstore, though a launch date has not yet been announced.
