YG PLUS is teaming up with the metaverse studio Karta to introduce a virtual experience centred around BLACKPINK, the globally acclaimed K-Pop girl group.
Launching tomorrow August 25th within Roblox, “BLACKPINK THE PALACE” is designed to serve as an interactive hub for the band’s passionate fanbase, affectionately known as BLINKs.

BLACKPINK THE PALACE will enable fans to immerse themselves in a digital world that encapsulates BLACKPINK’s musical and visual universe.
Encompassing a palace adorned with scenes reminiscent of the group’s iconic music videos, the experience invites fans to explore the individual rooms inspired by BLACKPINK members and their signature styles. Notably, the palace’s depths house interactive caverns where players can mine in-game currency by smashing crystals using a replica of BLACKPINK’s signature light stick.
Beyond the visuals, fans can adorn their avatars with BLACKPINK’s characteristic “Pink Venom” outfits, engage in the group’s dance routines through emotes, and even take selfies with avatars of JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, and LISA.
Meanwhile, the virtual palace offers an array of activities, from socializing and attending BLACKPINK-themed gatherings to accumulating in-game currency for hosting virtual parties.
Hyojung Lee, Head of IPX Division at YG PLUS, expressed anticipation for the launch, emphasizing the communal nature of the experience: “We eagerly await the arrival of fans from across the globe into this exquisitely crafted virtual palace. Within its confines, they can celebrate, bond, and wholly immerse themselves in all facets of BLACKPINK’s essence, unconstrained by the limitations of time and space.”
Furthermore, fans who access the experience within the first 24 hours of its debut will earn an exclusive badge to showcase on their Roblox profiles. BLACKPINK THE PALACE marks the group’s inaugural foray into the Roblox universe and is poised to further strengthen the bond between BLACKPINK and their dedicated fanbase.
This venture follows BLACKPINK’s previous metaverse endeavours, including a virtual concert hosted on PUBG Mobile in 2022, which garnered a staggering 15.7 million viewers. The group’s influence continues to expand, evident in their headline performance at the Coachella Festival in 2023.
Karta has garnered significant recognition following a successful funding round of $1.1 million, attracting investments from various industries, including music, gaming, sports, and finance. Now, their innovative BLACKPINK experience will surely see Karta continue to pioneer creative interactions within the metaverse landscape.
